We have been enjoying visiting with Debbie from Alaska for the past couple of weeks. We enjoyed the Frank Laux reunion at the Trinity Church in Bryant, Indiana last month and hope to be r-ving back over there this month sometime. We camped at Amishville and thoroughly enjoyed their campground and peaceful Amish atmosphere. Sidney/Shelby County Relay for Life was last weekend (August 4-5) and I got to see C.J. & Dan Lauterbur to say hi and wish them & their team success. Our team did very well this year too and it is always a great time. We are looking to seeing Doug in September and Lisa & Ken in October!

We recently went to Indiana to camp and met by chance Francis & Patricia Laux. We love to go to Indiana because of the Amish influence and because of all the genealogy gems we always find when we go to Trinity and New Corydon. This is where all the Lauxes and Remakluses settled and raised their families. Francis Laux is Mom's second cousin and looks similar to Grandpa Laux and had the wonderful picture of his dad Frank and Grandpa together. They took this old picture to their nephew Giles Laux in Portland, IN to his photography studio and had him touch it up and make copies for us and Mom. Then they invited us to come to the Frank L. Laux family reunion at the Trinity church. John & I went and had a great time visiting and meeting Mom's cousins and talking with their family's genealogy buff Stella. We shared a lot of information and had a great time and it was so neat to be around someone (Francis) who reminded me so much of Grandpa! Hope you enjoy the pictures!
